Besides the publication in the conference program (short abstracts) and the conference proceedings (extended abstracts), there will be the opportunity to publish your work in ISSW 2018 special issues of the following journals:

 

Cold Regions Science and Technology (peer reviewed; English)

Since 1998 selected contributions from ISSW's have been published in a special issue of Cold Regions Science and Technology (CRST). Contributions submitted to CRST must be significantly different from those published in the ISSW proceedings. This may require a more precise language and typically contain expanded technical information, additional details of methods and a more complete description and discussion of results. Manuscripts submitted to the special issue of CRST will undergo rigorous peer review. The submission for this virtual special issue opens 05.11.2018 and closes 04.02.2019.

 

Journal of Torrent, Avalanche, Landslide and Rock Fall Engineering (non peer reviewed; German and English)

This Journal focuses on topics related to the protection of our living environment and the interdisciplinary exchange of natural hazards knowledge between professional experts, practitioners and the public. Submissions are accepted in both, English and German. Deadline for the submission is beginning of November 2018 and the special issue is planned to be published around February 2019.

 

bergundsteigen (invited; German)

The popular scientific journal bergundsteigen, which dedicates its topics to the interaction humans-mountains with special emphasis on all related uncertainties, will include selected topics of the ISSW 2018 in its upcoming winter issue. Authors will be specifically invited to submit their contribution, covering all our audiences from theory to practice with innovations presented during the conference. The special issue will appear in German only in December 2018.
